Basketball Match Predictions

How to predict Basketball games without relying on home court advantage

Predicting the outcomes of the Basketball matches is a difficult job as the game can turn in a matter of seconds. We have seen many thrilling matches which have gone down to the wire and the players have hit the winning basket in the last few seconds of the match.

It is crucial to consider a lot of factors which can help you in predicting the results of the Basketball matches.

Home court advantage – It is known that the home side advantage plays a crucial role in the final outcome of the game. The hosts generally get the backing of the crowd, which can instil the confidence in the side to give their best.

However, it is not always the case that a home side goes on to win the match. We have seen many times that the visiting team have come up with the better performance and they have beaten the home side.

It is important to compare the two team’s strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes, the visiting team is stronger than the home side and thus it doesn’t make sense to put your money on the home side.

You, as a bettor, should take into account the current form of both the sides. Find out the recent winning percentage of both the teams and also try to find which team has had the wood on the other in the recent past by considering the head to head contests.

No place for biases:

We have seen that some of the punters tend to back their favourite team and they will put their money on them without getting the current stats. Everybody wants to see his/her favourite team win but such emotions should take a backseat as there is no place for biases while placing the bets.
