Former NBA player Patrick Beverley has put his weight behind the Los Angeles Lakers’ newly appointed head coach JJ Redick to deliver the goods for the franchise and take them to glory. Redick, a former Laker, is known for his high Basketball IQ and he will look to get the job done for the team.
Redick had a 15-year-long career in the NBA and retired back in 2021. He is at 20th place in the list of most three-pointers in the NBA but this will be the first time when he would coach an NBA team.
“JJ getting roles in order asap. Don’t ? on him. He gonna get it done,” Pat Bev posted on social media platform, X, previously named Twitter.
Beverley recently said on Pat Bev pod that Redick is the apt coach for the Lakers.
“He’s a respectable a**hole, ‘Yeah, I went to Duke. Yeah, I know what I’m talking about. Yeah, I know basketball. I know how to do things the right way. I know what hard work is. I know what stardom is, I know what fame is. I’ve also been a role player. I know how the role is, I know how the bench is, I’ve also been hurt. I done been through injury, I know how guys feel’.
“He is the perfect person to be a coach. Like, the perfect person.”
Meanwhile, Redick agreed to a four-year contract and he will look to get the job done for the Lakers.
Redick recently revealed D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James and Anthony Davis will take the court as the Lakers’ starting five.
The Lakers will begin their NBA 2024-25 campaign against the Minnesota Timberwolves on 22nd October at the Crypto.com arena.
