Cleveland Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell has shed light on his aspirations to make it to the conference finals of the NBA. The upcoming season will be the eighth edition in the NBA for Mitchell and he will look to guide his team all the way.
Donovan Mitchell averaged 26.6 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 55 games in the 2023-24 season and he will look to keep up the good show for his team.
Speaking to Carmelo Anthony on 7 PM in Brooklyn podcast, Mitchell tipped himself as a top 10 player in the NBA. Mitchell admitted he hasn’t yet taken Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA finals but his team has every chance to turn the tables.
” So in order for me to make that jump, I can sit here and get mad and use it as fuel but I can’t get mad cause it’s an accolades-based world we live in. Whether it’s right, wrong or indifferent, for whatever reason, it’s just what it is,” Mitchell said.
Meanwhile, Donovan Mitchell has agreed on a three-year, $150.3 million maximum contract extension that includes a player option for the 2027-2028 season.
Mitchell will look to come up with a good show in the upcoming season and deliver the goods for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cleveland Cavaliers will begin their NBA 2024-25 season against the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena on 23rd October.
