It’s incredible watching him – Steve Kerr lauds Steph Curry after win against Dallas Mavericks

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr showered praise on Stephen Curry after a 120-117 win against the previous season’s runners-up Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. Curry was pumped up after scoring a three-pointer with only 30 seconds remaining.

After scoring the basket, Curry brought out his typical “Night Night” celebration, before chest-bumping Buddy Hield. Curry scored 23 of his season-high 37 points in the second half as he brought his best to the court.

“Good job, Steph,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said when asked what he thought as he was witnessed Curry’s flurry. “I’ve been watching this for a long time, and it never gets old. It’s incredible watching him. It really is. You just think every shot is going to go in, and he loves it. He loves the moment.”

Draymond Green said he tries to support Steph Curry by taking the backseat when the latter is in full flow.

“When you see him with that type of emotion, everyone else just falls in line,” Draymond Green said of Curry. “I try to lead in that category. But when he is up like that, I just move to the side and let him do his thing and then support.”

Luka Doncic, who top-scored with 31 points for the Mavericks, feels they could have done a better job in guarding Curry but that wasn’t to be the case.

“I think we should have done a better job guarding him. But it’s Steph Curry, so sometimes there’s nothing you can do,” Doncic said.

Klay Thompson, who played for the Golden State Warriors for 13 years, said it hurts to be on the receiving end while playing against Curry.

“It hurts to be on the other side of one of his flurries,” Thompson added. “Guy got hot at the end and made some ridiculous shots. I know I’ve been on the other end, and it sucks.”

The Warriors will next take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
