NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins slammed veteran LeBron James for his horrible defending and poor body language after their huge loss of 127-120 against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
LeBron James added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists but Perkins was not at all impressed by the 39-year-old’s performance.
Kendrick Perkins wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Bron was horrible tonight defensively and his body language was unacceptable.”
Meanwhile, Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant each scored 23 points for the Phoenix Suns. On the other hand, Anthony Davis scored 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds but he was the lone warrior for the team.
The Suns outscored the Lakers 36-18 in the third quarter and it turned out to be decisive in the game.
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said his team doesn’t have a lot of players who can run play full court.
“Some of it is personnel-based. We don’t have a lot of guys that can pick up full court,” Redick said after the game.
Meanwhile, LeBron James recently opened up on his retirement and said he is soon going to hang his boots.
James said two weeks ago, “I’m not going to play that much longer, to be completely honest. I don’t know how many years that is. If it’s one year or two years, whatever the case may be. I said the other night, I’m not playing until the wheels fall off. I’m not going to be that guy. I’m not going to be the guy who is disrespecting the game because I just wanted to be out on the floor.”
The Lakers will next take on the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
