The LA Clippers have come up with a complete performance in the playoff stages. In the first conference round, the Clippers were able to get past the Dallas Mavericks by 4-2. Subsequently, they were able to carry their good form in the semifinals against Denver Nuggets. The Clippers won the fourth game of the ongoing series against the Nuggets by 96-85 to take a 3-1 lead.
Consequently, the Clippers are one win away from sealing their berth in the conference finals for the first time in their franchise history. The Clippers have come close to reaching the conference finals but they haven’t been able to go through to the penultimate stage of the NBA.
During the 1970s, when they were known as the Buffalo Braves. The Braves were shown the exit doors on two occasions in a row. On the other hand, they have lost in the semifinal stage on four occasions as LA Clippers. The last time they had crashed out of the semifinal stage was back in 2015 when they lost against the Houston Rockets by 4-3 despite enjoying the lead of 3-1.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing semi finals round against the Denver Nuggets, the Clippers won the first game by 120-97 with Kawhi Leonard top scoring with 29 points. However, they veered off the track in the second game as they 110-101 as Leonard had an off day at work. They bounced back in style as they won the third game by 113-107 with Paul George top scoring with 32 points.
In the fourth game, Kawhi Leonard came up with an all round performance as he scored 30 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Leonard and George would aim to continue their good show going and help the LA Clippers make their first appearance in the conference finals of the NBA.
The fifth game of the series will be played on Saturday.
