Former Milwaukee Bucks guard Greivis Vasquez has picked LeBron James as the top 5 player of all time in the NBA. The former Venezuelan point guard lauded James’ work ethic at the top level.
James, 39, is still going strongly and his fitness has played a key role in his success. The upcoming season of the NBA will be the 22nd for veteran James as he will join Vince Carter for most seasons in the league.
Vasquez named Michael Jordan as the number one player whereas picked Kobe Bryant as the second-best player in NBA history. The 37-year-old lauded James for making to the NBA finals eight times in a row.
James has won four NBA championships from 10 NBA Finals appearances, having made eight consecutive appearances between 2011 and 2018.
Vasquez said on HoopsHype, “Some people may dislike him, but you can’t take away the fact that he’s a winner. Going to the NBA Finals eight times in a row, neither Kobe nor Jordan did that. What LeBron is doing now, being the face of the league and empowering basketball worldwide, is something no one has done before.”
Meanwhile, James averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists on 66% shooting in the Olympics and thus played an instrumental role in taking his team to glory.
LeBron James was named Olympic MVP after scoring 14 points with six rebounds and 10 assists in the summit clash against France, which Team USA won by 98-87 to clinch their 17th gold medal at the Games.
