Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry is playing at the peak of his powers in the ongoing season of the NBA. Curry is known as the one of the best shooters the game has ever seen and he has taken his shooting skills to another new level in this season.
Curry has a plethora of shooting records under his belt and he continues to break and make new records in the league. He became the fastest player to hit 300 3-pointers in a single season in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. It took Curry just 58 games to hit 300 in the season.
Curry achieved the milestone after he scored 37 points. However, his efforts went in vain as GSW lost by 108-103.
Furthermore, the 33-year old bagged another record under his belt. He has become only the second player to hit 2800 3-pointers in the NBA after Ray Allen, who had scored 2973 three-pointers in his glorious career. With the way Curry is going on, it is a matter of time before he will surpass Ray Allen’s record.
Meanwhile, earlier GSW head coach Steve Kerr compared Steph Curry’s dream run with his former Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan.
On the other hand, Warriors forward Draymond Green stated that the teams are afraid of Curry as he is playing on a different level altogether.
“Anytime you step on the floor with Steph Curry, there’s an advantage there,” Warriors forward Draymond Green said after their win over the Pelicans on Monday, via the Mercury News.
“So, teams are terrified of him — and everywhere he runs on the floor, with or without the ball, teams are terrified. That type of gravity, he pulls a lot of weight … I wouldn’t want to see a team with Steph Curry on it. We all know what he’s capable of. The guy can take over a game and make it hard for any team in the NBA on any given night.”
The Golden State Warriors will next face Oklahoma City on Thursday night.
