Cricket started early and has a lot of history in India. In all these years, since 1721, the sport has grown and gained more prominence and popularity in the country. Between one championship and another, new talents emerge to mark the history of the sport.

Kapil Dev is a well-known cricketer who was playing in the winner team of the 1983 World Cup. He also has a record in his name for the greatest number of Wickets taken and was the Indian cricket team’s coach in 1999. As a player, he retired in 1994.
Rahul Sharad Dravid is known as “The Wall” because of his popularity as the greatest cricketer ever. In international cricket, his total score runs are almost 25,000. Currently, Dravid is the head coach for the Under-19 cricket team.
Zaheer Khan is a former cricketer who played in all formats for the Indian National Team – ODI, Tests and T20. Between 2000 and 2014, while he was playing, he became famous for his hostile seam and his perfect yorkers, and also was known as the second best Indian pace bowler in Test Cricket after Kapil Dev.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only captain in Cricket history to win all ICC trophies. He captained the Indian National Team from 2007 to 2016 and in the format of Test from 2008 to 2014. As a player, he became famous for his shot called “helicopter” and is also considered one of the best finishers in Indian cricket. He is also known as one of the best brains of all time in Cricket.
Virat Kohli is regarded as one of the world’s best batsmen who ever played for the team. Since October 2017, he has been the top-ranked ODI batsman in the world and is currently first in Test rankings, with 928 points.
