India and Afghanistan will face each other in their last match of the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Thursday. Both of these teams are already eliminated from the tournament after losing against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Thus, both of these teams will shift their focus to the upcoming T20 World Cup as this contest will be a dead rubber as far as Asia Cup is concerned.
India hasn’t been able to defend the totals against Pakistan and Sri Lanka and they would definitely be disappointed with their performances. Men in Blue were the red-hot favorites for the tournament and returning empty-handed as well as not even making it to the finals, should be a big disappointment.
There is no doubt that India needs to address what has not gone their way in these two matches and they will look to turn the tables. The middle order didn’t fire at all cylinders while the death bowling also remains a concern.
Afghanistan, on the other hand, all but got over the line in their previous clash against Pakistan. The Afghan team had their noses in front as they needed to defend 11 runs in the final over but Naseem Shah had other ideas.
Afghanistan was brilliant with the ball against Pakistan and they will look to continue the same against India.
Match Prediction: India will start as favorites against Afghanistan but they wouldn’t want to be complacent.
