Asia Cup 2025: India vs Bangladesh, Super Fours – Match Preview

India will take on Bangladesh in their second game of the Super Fours stage of the ongoing Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Wednesday. The scales are tilted hugely in India’s favor as they have a 16-1 head-to-head record against the Tigers and they would aim to continue their domination.

Furthermore, since the start of 2024, India has won 32 and lost three matches of T20I cricket, which goes to show the T20 World Cup champions’ supremacy.

There is no doubt that Bangladesh will need to play out of their skins, whereas India should get over the line if they bring their best. The Men in Blue were poor in the field against Pakistan, and they would look to pull up their socks.

Bangladesh head coach Phil Simmons has expressed confidence that any team can beat India in T20Is.

“Every team has the ability to beat India. The game is played on the day-it’s not about what India has done before, but what happens on Wednesday during that three-and-a-half-hour period,” Simmons explained in the presser.

“We will try to play our best cricket and hope to force errors from India. That’s how we win games,” he added.

However, Bangladesh suffered an injury scare on Monday as their captain Litton Das complained of discomfort in his back while batting in the nets.
