Australia will lock horns against India in the second Test match at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide in the pink-ball game from Friday onwards. The visitors registered a huge win of 295 runs in the opening Test at Perth and they will look to continue the good show.
Australia has a stellar record with the pink ball and they will look to bounce back stronger after suffering a huge loss in the opening Test. The home team could not come up with a good batting show in the series opener and the likes of Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, and Mitchell Marsh will look to deliver the goods for the team.
The hosts were bundled out for only 104 runs in the first innings and they certainly need to pull up their socks with the bat. Furthermore, Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out with a side strain and Scott Boland is expected to replace him in the playing XI.
On the other hand, India could make two changes to their winning combination with Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma coming back into the final XI. However, the tourists are expected to back Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul as openers, as was indicated in the practice game.
Ergo, Devdutt Padikkal, and Dhruv Jurel might have to make way for Gill and Sharma respectively.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana had impressed on their debuts and they are expected to retain their spot.
Match Prediction: Australia might start as slight favorites in the pink-ball game against India.
