Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has showered praise on Ishan Kishan after the left-hander scored a fine knock of 210 runs off just 131 balls in the third ODI against Bangladesh at Chhatogram on Saturday.
Kishan scored his maiden ODI century off just 85 balls and he was able to find the boundaries at regular intervals. The southpaw scored a total of 24 fours and 10 sixes in his blistering innings as he took Bangladesh bowlers to the cleaners.
After reaching his hundred, Kishan showed no respite to Bangladesh’s bowlers as he scored his runs all around the ground. The 24-year-old became the youngest to score a double century and also recorded the fastest double ton off just 124 balls.
There was no stopping Kishan and he was able to make the most of the long handle against the home team’s bowlers.
Rajkumar Sharma said on India News, “Ishan played an ultra-attacking knock and gave no respect whatsoever to any Bangladesh bowler. He showed that he was keen to take on the bowlers and unleashed his range of shots fearlessly.
“This knock will be remembered in Indian cricket for a long time because he hadn’t nailed down his spot in the playing XI. This further proves the amount of courage he showed to play his shots.”
Sharma added Kishan is capable of winning matches on his own. Kishan has shown the skills to turn the match on its head with his whirlwind batting and this knock must have added a lot of confidence to his bag.

Kishan will want to carry the same form in the upcoming matches and he would want consistent chances in the final XI.
