The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the schedule of the 2026-27 home season on Thursday. Team India will play nine ODIs, eight T20Is and five Test matches. The home season will begin with West Indies playing three ODIs and five T20Is in the September-October window.
West Indies tour of India 2026:
September 27: 1st ODI in Trivandrum at 2 pm IST
September 30: 2nd ODI in Guwahati at 2 pm IST
October 3: 3rd ODI in New Chandigarh at 2 pm IST
October 6: 1st T20I in Lucknow at 7 pm IST
October 9: 2nd T20I in Ranchi at 7 pm IST
October 11: 3rd T20I in Indore at 7 pm IST
October 14: 4th T20I in Hyderabad at 7 pm IST
October 17: 5th T20I in Bengaluru at 7 pm IST
After the completion of the West Indies series, India will host Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many T20Is.
Sri Lanka tour of India 2026:
December 13: 1st ODI in Delhi at 2 pm IST
December 16: 2nd ODI in Bengaluru at 2 pm IST
December 19: 3rd ODI in Ahmedabad at 2 pm IST
December 22: 1st T20I in Rajkot at 7 pm IST
December 24: 2nd T20I in Cuttack at 7 pm IST
December 27: 3rd T20I in Pune at 7 pm IST
Zimbabwe will then play three ODIs in Indian conditions.
January 3, 2027: 1st ODI in Kolkata at 2 pm IST
January 6, 2027: 2nd ODI in Hyderabad at 2 pm IST
January 9, 2027: 3rd ODI in Mumbai at 2 pm IST
The all-important Border-Gavaskar series against Australia will be played in February-March window. Surprisingly iconic venues like Wankhede Stadium, and Eden Gardens could not get any Test match.

Jan 21-25: 1st Test in Nagpur
Jan 29- Feb 2: 2nd Test in Chennai
Feb 11- 15: 3rd Test in Guwahati
Feb 19-23: 4th Test in Ranchi
Feb 27- March 3: 5th Test in Ahmedabad
