The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed that all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining Anderson-Tendulkar trophy. Reddy suffered a knee injury while practicing with the team. Furthermore, Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the fourth Test match against England after suffering a thumb injury during practice.
Reddy could not deliver in the last two Test matches he played against the hosts. The right-hander has scored 45 runs in two Test matches at an average of 11.25, whereas he has scalped three wickets at an average of 37.
Moreover, Akash Deep is reported to be nursing an injury that could keep him out of the fourth Test in Manchester. Deep had bagged a ten-wicket haul in the second Test match at Edgbaston, Birmingham, but could not replicate the same performance at Lord’s.
