India’s former wicket-keeper bat Dinesh Karthik has picked India’s all-time XI across formats. Karthik picked former swashbuckling batter Virender Sehwag and current skipper Rohit Sharma as the two openers. Both Sehwag and Rohit are known for their aggressive style of batting and they could demolish any bowling attack.
Former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid bats at number three for Dinesh Karthik. Dravid was known for his solidarity while batting at one down.
Legendary Sachin Tendulkar and talismanic batter Virat Kohli takes the fourth and fifth place respectively. Tendulkar and Kohli are regarded as two of the best batters ever produced by the country. Karthik added 2011 ODI World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh and Ravindra Jadeja as the two all-rounders in the team.
“I should fit in two all-rounders. So very similar to the kind of players that India have been producing,” Kartik would reason behind the rationale of picking Yuvraj and Jadeja on Cricbuzz.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Anil Kumble are the two lead spinners in Karthik’s team. India’s gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and former left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan also make the cut into Karthik’s all-time team.
Former Indian veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been picked as the 12th man by the wicket-keeper batsman.
“The 12th man will be Harbhajan Singh, and there are many players I have missed out. Gautam Gambhir, what can you say about it and I feel it’s just hard to fit in everybody in this eleven. So, this is an all-time XI across formats that I thought,” Karthik said on his 12th man choice.
Dinesh Karthik’s all-time India XI across formats: Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Anil Kumble, Jasprit Bumrah, Zaheer Khan. 12th man: Harbhajan Singh.
