After a thrilling Test match, England and India will face each other in the first T20I at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on Thursday. England will be led by Jos Buttler, who has been named as the new white-ball captain after Eoin Morgan decided to retire from the game.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has rejoined the team after testing negative for Covid-19. The Indian skipper had missed the Test match due to the same. India had done well after winning their last two matches against South Africa and defeated Ireland in two T20Is.
The Men in Blue will look to continue the same form against a potent England team and continue their preparation for T20 World Cup. India will look to take revenge for their Test loss whereas England will begin a new chapter under Jos Buttler, who was in miraculous form in the IPL for Rajasthan Royals.
England will be aggressive in their approach and India will also look to make the most of their PowerPlay overs, which they haven’t done in the past.
The Indian team also won the two warm-up matches against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire and their white-ball players will look to grab their opportunities.
Match Prediction: England might enter the contest as favorites against India as they will be playing under their own conditions.
