England will take on India in the second T20I at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Saturday. India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series after they won the first game by a massive margin of 50 runs. Thus, the visitors will look to continue the good show whereas it will be a must-win game for the hosts.
India had adopted an aggressive batting style in the first match and they will aim to continue in a similar fashion. Team India has mostly adopted a sedate approach in the shortest format of the game and it was good to see them playing positively.
Rohit Sharma (24 off 14), Suryakumar Yadav (39 off 19), and Deepak Hooda (33 off 17) had all got off to starts in the opening game. Furthermore, Hardik Pandya continued his good form as he scored his maiden T20I fifty. Moreover, Pandya had also shined with the ball as he scalped four wickets.
But, India’s catching was really poor as they dropped a total of five catches and they will need to pull up their socks in the field.
On the other hand, England bowlers had done well in the fag end of the innings. But the hosts’ batting was not up to the mark as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The Three Lions will need to come up with a better show and they will look to be at their best.
Match Prediction: India will enter the contest as slightly favorites as they will be confident after the first match win against England.
England T20I squad: Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Richard Gleeson, Chris Jordon, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Tymal Mills, Matthew Parkinson, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, David Willey.
