England and India will take on each other in the third ODI at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday. The first two matches have been one-sided as England won the previous match by 100 runs whereas India dominated the first game to win by 10 wickets.
England’s batting was not up to the mark in the first game whereas India followed suit in the second match as they could only manage 146 runs on the board. Thus, both teams have come up with ordinary batting performances so far in the series.
Meanwhile, India will be disappointed as they collapsed like a pack of cards in the second game. The visitors had done a fine job with the ball but they could not get going with the bat. The tourists will also need to field well as Prasidh Krishna dropped a simple catch to give extra life to David Willey when he had just got off the mark but the left-hander went to make 41 runs.
On the other hand, England will also have to come up with a better batting show. The hosts could only manage 246 runs on the board but their bowling was able to help them bounce back in the series. Reece Topley was the pick of the bowlers for England as he scalped 6-24, which are the best bowling figures for any English bowler in the ODI format.
Match Prediction: It is expected to be a close contest between England and India but the latter might start as favorites given their potent bowling.
