England will lock horns in the fourth T20I against India at County Ground, Bristol, on Thursday. It will be a must-win game for the visitors to stay afloat in the series, as England took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series after winning the third game by a mammoth margin of 125 runs.
The home team posted 201 runs on the board after Phil Salt scored a fine knock of 70 runs off 44 balls, following a sedate start. India’s bowlers, barring Prince Yadav, looked toothless and they would need to pull up their socks.
Yadav returned with impressive figures of 2-30 while playing just his second T20I, and he was the only positive from the last game.
Furthermore, India was skittled out for a paltry score of 76 runs as none of the batters could even breach the 15-run mark. Indian batters were found wanting as none of them could bring their A-game to the ground.
Pressure is surely building on Shreyas Iyer, as India has lost four matches under his captaincy.
Many feel Sanju Samson is unfortunately left out and it would be interesting to note if he gets his chance in the penultimate match of the series.
On the other hand, England has ticked the right boxes in the series. Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue were brilliant in the previous match, with both taking seven wickets between them.
