Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was excited after his biopic was announced by T-Series. Singh is hopeful that the movie will inspire others to overcome their own challenges. Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka will bring Yuvraj’s story to the big screen.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh had an inspiring cricketing journey, which had many ups and downs. The former left-hander also battled cancer and made a comeback to International cricket after recovering from the deadly disease.
Earlier, Yuvraj had also written his autobiography, ‘The Test of My Life’, in which he shed light on his cricketing career and his fight against cancer.
Singh played an instrumental role in taking India to glory in the ODI World Cup 2011, scoring 362 runs and picking 15 wickets. Ergo, he was awarded Player of the Tournament and played at the top of his game despite being ill.
Singh said via Mid-Day, “I am deeply honored that my story will be showcased to millions of my fans across the globe by Bhushan ji and Ravi. Cricket has been my greatest love and source of strength through all the highs and lows. I hope this film inspires others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion.”
On the other hand, producer Bhushan Singh shared his excitement for the upcoming project and added that Singh’s story needs to be told.
“Yuvraj Singh’s life is a compelling narrative of resilience, triumph, and passion. His journey from a promising cricketer to a cricketing hero, and then to a hero in real life, is truly inspiring. I am thrilled to bring a story that needs to be told and heard through the big screen and to celebrate his extraordinary achievements,” Kumar said.
Recently Yuvraj Singh was named as the global ambassador for the T20 World Cup 2024.
