The India skipper has slipped to 10th, but his countrymen, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma’s positions remained static in the second and 11th positions respectively.
Kohli who garnered 673 points dropped down with England captain Eoin Morgan with 687 points taken over the 9th position. During England’s visit to South Africa in the three-match series which ended 2-1, he scored 136 runs which included two fifties.
Although he is out due to a calf injury, Rohit remained 11th with 662 points in the batting list, topped by Pakistan’s Babar Azam.
Although he was wicketless in the last three-match series against the New Zealand, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, remained in the 12th position In the bowling chart. Bumrah had recently lost his top spot in ODIs which he shared with West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell.
South Africa’s left-arm wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi was rewarded for his effort against the English team. The bowler has now entered the top 10. He climbed nine positions to occupy the eighth spot with Adil Rashid replacing Andile Phehlukwayo in the sixth position.
With five wickets to his credit during the series in South African, Tom Curran, who bowled the decisive last over in the second T20I moved up 28 places and break into the top 30. It could be recalled that the England-South Africa game was a close affair with England winning with two runs.
Quinton de Kock, who also scored 31, 65 and 35 in the three-game affair climbed ten spots in the batting chart and occupied the 16th position. His opening partner, Temba Bavuma also had a massive boost moving 127 places to take the 52nd position after aggregating 123 runs with a strike-rate of 153.75.
