After the completion of IPL 2026, India will square off against Afghanistan in a one-off Test match at New Chandigarh from Saturday onwards. India is in sixth place in the World Test Championship standings with a PCT of 48.15 and thus, Shubman Gill’s team would look to bag crucial 12 points against Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will need to play out of their skins to challenge the potent Indian team in the latter’s own conditions. The tourists’ also don’t have the services of Rashid Khan, who has been rested for the one-off Test.
