India will square off against New Zealand in the third Test match at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai from Friday onwards. The Kiwis have been able to show that it is possible to beat India in India as their winning streak was breached after 12 years.
India has been a potent force in home conditions but New Zealand have punched above their weight, as always they are expected to do.
Mitchell Santner was the star of the show in the previous Test, bagging a total of 13 wickets to take the Player of the Match award. Moreover, New Zealand came up with a collective show as Devon Conway, Tom Latham, Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, and Tom Blundell played crucial knocks.
On the other hand, nothing has gone right for Rohit Sharma’s team. The batting unit has failed miserably whereas the experienced spinners have looked insipid despite all the help on the track.
