India vs South Africa, 2nd ODI – Stats Preview

India was able to take a 1-0 lead in the series after winning the opener by 17 runs at Ranchi. The hosts were able to post a par score of 349 runs on the board after Virat Kohli scored a majestic knock of 135 runs off just 120 balls. 

Furthermore, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul scored fine half-centuries. Harshit Rana had impressed with the new ball and the youngster would look to keep up the good show as his selection has been questioned by many experts.

On the other hand, South Africa were able to take the game deep after Marco Jansen, Matthew Breetzke and Corbin Bosch played fine knocks. 

Temba Bavuma can return to the playing XI for the visitors after he was rested for the opening game of the series. Keshav Maharaj can also get his chance in the final XI.

Rishabh Pant needs nine fours to complete 100 boundaries in ODIs.

South African captain Temba Bavuma needs 59 runs to complete 2000 ODI runs. He also needs five fours to complete 200 boundaries in the 50-over version. 

Marco Jansen needs three wickets to complete 50 scalps in ODIs.

Quinton de Kock needs nine fours to reach 800 boundaries in ODIs.
