India will lock horns against South Africa in the second T20I at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Sunday. The hosts had drawn first blood in the series after comprehensively winning by eight wickets after their fast bowlers had done a fantastic job.
South Africa, on the other hand, will look to come up with an improved show. The Proteas batters had let the team down as they could show resistance on a difficult pitch. The visitors had found themselves reeling at 9-5 and it was going to be a herculean task for them to come back into the match from that situation.
Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers for India as he scalped three wickets and troubled the opposition batters with his swing in the first over he bowled. Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel also did a good job as they scalped two wickets apiece.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav played fine knocks in the run-chase as both of them scored fifties to get their team over the line. Rahul showed gumption on a difficult pitch while Yadav took an aggressive approach to score his runs at a quick pace.
South Africa will also be determined to turn the tables and they would want to come up with a better batting show.
