The defending champions Chennai Super Kings will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 22nd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Tuesday.
CSK have got off to a horrid start as they have lost their four matches and are yet to register their first win.
On the other hand, RCB has got off a decent start as they have managed three wins from four matches. Consequently, CSK will look to get their first win while RCB will aim to continue the winning impetus.
CSK has failed to come up with a collective effort with both bat as well as the ball. Their top order has not fired at all cylinders which has put more pressure on the middle order. Furthermore, they have an inexperienced bowling line-up except for Dwayne Bravo and they are clearly missing the services of Deepak Chahar.
Meanwhile, RCB has ticked the right boxes so far. Anuj Rawat played a match-winning knock of 66 runs, which will give him a lot of confidence whereas Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga are doing a fine job in the middle overs. Patel is expected to join the team before the game after he had to leave the bio bubble following a tragedy in his family.
Dinesh Karthik has been superb while providing the finishing touches and he is making the most of his experience. Furthermore, the addition of Glenn Maxwell has added more strength to the final XI.
Match Prediction: Taking current form into consideration, RCB will begin the contest as red-hot favorites against beleaguered CSK.
RCB Probable Playing 11: Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Shahbaz Ahmed, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj.
CSK Probable XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Shivam Dube, Dwayne Bravo, Dwaine Pretorius, Tushar Deshpande, Mukesh Choudhary.
