Gujarat Titans will face Punjab Kings in the 48th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Dr. DY Sports Academy, Mumbai on Tuesday.
The Titans have been magnificent in their maiden season and they will look to continue the good show to qualify for the playoff stages.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings haven’t been consistent and thus they are in the bottom half of the points table. Kings have managed only four wins in their nine matches and they need to come up with a collective effort.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have won eight out of their nine games and they look all set to qualify for the playoff stages. Titans have found a way in every match to get over the line and all the players have contributed to their success. Rahul Tewatia and David Miller had provided the finishing touches in their last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In fact, Rahul Tewatia was the seventh different player for Gujarat Titans to be awarded the Player of the Match in the ongoing season, which goes to show their collective effort.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings should have chased down 154 runs against Lucknow Super Giants in their previous game but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Match Prediction: Gujarat Titans will enter the contest as favorites against Punjab Kings as they are in better form.
Gujarat Titans: Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya, Abhinav Manohar, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Shami, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal.
PBKS Predicted Playing XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Mayank Agarwal (c), Bhanuka Rajapaksa (WK), Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Shahrukh Khan, Odean Smith, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Rishi Dhawan, Sandeep Sharma.
