IPL 2022: If he trusts his skills, he will be a big bowler for India – Rashid Khan on Ravi Bishnoi

Gujarat Titans talisman spinner Rashid Khan reckons Ravi Bishnoi has a bright future ahead of him. Khan feels if Bishnoi trusts his skills he will be a big bowler for the Indian team.

Bishnoi has impressed with his abilities in his young career and he has shown the skills to go a long way in his career.

The leg-spinner bowls a lot of googlies and he is also fast through the air, like Rashid Khan, which makes it difficult for the batters to use their feet against him. Bishnoi needs to work a bit on his leg-break and he can be a great prospect for the national team.

The leg-spinner took 13 wickets in 14 matches of Tata IPL 2022 at an average of 35.07 and an economy rate of 8.44 while playing for Lucknow Super Giants. Thus, the youngster didn’t have the best of IPL seasons and he will look to bounce back stronger.

Bishnoi was roped in by LSG before the IPL mega auction as he was not retained by Punjab Kings.

“Bishnoi is a young talent. I’ve talked to him quite a few times. In the upcoming years, he will be a big star for India. If he trusts his skills and continues to back them up, he will definitely be a big bowler for India,” Rashid told cricket.com.

On the other hand, Khan also showered praise on Yuzvendra Chahal, who has done a fine job for the national team and also delivered while playing for his former franchise, RCB. Chahal has taken 26 wickets in 16 matches of Tata IPL 2022 while playing for Rajasthan Royals and thus he has played a key role in getting his team to the final of the tournament.

“Definitely, the way he performed for RCB and India, he is the best spinner. He bowled the tough overs for India and RCB, which is very difficult. He has played most of the matches in Bangalore, which is a smaller ground, and he showed his skills brilliantly,” said Rashid.

There is no doubt that a lot of young bowlers are coming through the ranks and IPL has always been a great platform for these youngsters to grab their opportunities.

On the other hand, Rashid Khan has also taken 18 wickets in 15 matches for Gujarat Titans and he has also played an instrumental role in taking the team to the final of the IPL.
