IPL 2022: Picks for the match between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings

The table-toppers Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Punjab Kings in the 48th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Dr. DY Sports Academy, Mumbai on Tuesday.

The Titans have ticked the right boxes in the ongoing season as they have won eight out of their nine games while Punjab Kings have blown hot and cold in IPL 2022 as they have managed four wins in nine games.

We take a look at Picks for the match between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. We will look at head-to-head records, stats, and players to look out for in the upcoming match.

Current form for GT: W W W W W

Gujarat Titans are doing a fine job in their maiden season and their players will look to continue the good show. The Titans have done well as a unit and a lot of credit for their success goes to the collective effort of the team. Rahul Tewatia was the star of the show in the previous game against RCB.

Current form for PBKS: L W L L W

Punjab Kings have a potent batting unit but they haven’t played to their potential. Apart from Liam Livingstone, none of the batters have been consistent for them, which has led to their downfall. Furthermore, they are lacking a quality spinner as Rahul Chahar hasn’t been at his best.

Head to Head: Match: 1, Won by GT: 1, Won by PBKS: 0.

GT had beaten PBKS by six wickets earlier in the season.

Players to watch out for: Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan, Odeon Smith, Shahrukh Khan, Liam Livingstone, and Arshdeep Singh will be the key players for PBKS.

Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade, Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, and Lockie Ferguson will hold the key for GT.
