Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 6th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Wednesday.
RCB had lost their opening match of the season against Punjab Kings by five wickets despite posting a par score of 205 runs.
Thus, the Faf du Plessis-led team would aim to come up with a better bowling performance in their upcoming matches. Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Dinesh Karthik were able to get amongst the runs and it was a positive for the franchise. But Mohammed Siraj had a disappointing outing as he conceded 59 runs in his quota of four overs. RCB will look to get their maiden win of the season against KKR.
On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders won their opener against defending champions Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. KKR bowlers were right on the money as they restricted the opposition at 131.
Umesh Yadav was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped two wickets and conceded only 20 runs in his quota of four overs. Subsequently, Ajinkya Rahane scored a fine knock of 44 runs to help his team get close to the target.
KKR would want to continue their good show in the ongoing season and they would look to come up with a collective effort.
