Chennai Super Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 63rd match of the ongoing IPL 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Monday. CSK are in a must-win territory after they lost their previous match against Lucknow Super Giants.
On the other hand, SRH would look to not only qualify for the playoffs but also finish among the top two teams. SRH’s bowling unit has come of age in the ongoing season with Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge and Ehsan Malinga delivering the goods.
SRH’s bowling coach Varun Aaron said on the eve of the match that their X-factor bowlers have come good. However, SRH was bowled out for a paltry score of 86 runs in the previous game against Gujarat Titans and they would want to come up with an improved performance with the bat. No SRH batter could even cross the 20-run mark against GT and they would need to pull up their socks.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings’ bowling looked toothless in the previous game against LSG. Anshul Kamboj was taken to the cleaners, conceding 63 runs in 2.4 overs he bowled.
CSK would want Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad to give them a blistering start, which hasn’t happened in the ongoing season.
