Sharjah Warriors will face Gulf Giants in the last league stage match of the ongoing International League T20 2023 at the Sharjah Cricket Ground on Monday. While Gulf Giants have secured their playoff berth, Sharjah Warriors will have to win on Monday to keep their hopes alive.
Dubai Capitals were able to keep themselves afloat in the tournament after their seven-wicket win against MI Emirates on Sunday. Furthermore, the Capitals currently have a better NRR than Sharjah Warriors and thus the Moeen Ali-led team will have to win by a decent margin to make the cut into the final four.
Meanwhile, the Warriors were stunned by Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by five wickets in their previous match. They had got off to a decent start as they were 71-1 after 9.2 overs but they could only manage 130 runs on the board. Thus, they will need to come up with a better batting performance.
On the other hand, Gulf Giants won their previous contest against Desert Vipers by 25 runs and they will look to carry the winning impetus into the playoff stages.
When these teams had met earlier in the season, Sharjah Warriors had won by 21 runs.
Match Prediction: Gulf Giants will enter the contest as favorites against Sharjah Warriors but the Moeen Ali-led will give their best to stay in the playoff race.
