The reigning champions Chennai Super Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 17th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Saturday. Both of these teams are still hunting for their first win of the season and they will look to get off the mark.
Chennai Super Kings lost their previous match against Punjab Kings by 54 runs after they were skittled out for a paltry score of 126 runs. This was CSK’s second-biggest loss in the IPL in terms of the number of runs. Consequently, the Ravindra Jadeja-led team will need to come up with a better batting performance.
CSK need their top order to fire for them as Ruturaj Gaikwad has looked off color so far. The franchise will hope that its players can make use of their experience to get the best out of themselves.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Achilles Heels have also been their batting. They have an inexperienced batting order and need to fire at full cylinders to be competitive in the tournament. They had come up with a much-improved show against Lucknow Super Giants after their poor performance against Rajasthan Royals. But it was still not enough for them to go past the KL Rahul-led team.
SRH have a good bowling unit as they have Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan. On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo and Dwaine Pretorius are doing a good job for CSK but the other fast bowlers are inexperienced.
Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings will enter the contest as favorites against SRH.
CSK Probable XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Shivam Dube, Dwayne Bravo, Dwaine Pretorius, Tushar Deshpande, Mukesh Choudhary.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Probable XI: Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Nicholas Pooran (wk), Aiden Markram, Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik.
