Chennai Super Kings will take on Delhi Capitals in the 55th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Wednesday. CSK has managed six wins in the 11 matches they have played whereas DC is struggling at the bottom of the points table with four wins in 10 matches.
Both of these two teams had won their respective last games and they will be looking to carry the good show. CSK had restricted Mumbai Indians to a sub-par score of 139 runs and they will be looking to replicate the same kind of bowling performance.
Matheesha Pathirana was brilliant for CSK as he had scalped four wickets whereas Deepak Chahar and Tushar Deshpande had bagged two scalps apiece against MI.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals had made short work of 182-run chase after Phillip Salt played a blistering knock of 87 runs. Ergo, DC will want to carry the same kind of batting performance against Chennai Super Kings.
There is no doubt that the spinners will come into action at the Chepauk and thus the spinners of both teams will play a key role in their team’s success.
Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings will enter the contest as favorites against Delhi Capitals.
