IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Dafanews Match Preview

Chennai Super Kings will square off against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday. CSK have got off to a decent start in the season, winning three out of the five matches they have played. However, they had lost their home match against Rajasthan Royals but then went on to win against RCB while playing away.

SRH have won two matches out of the five matches they have played. We take a look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

Current form for CSK: W L W W L

Chennai Super Kings will look to make the most of their home conditions against Sunrisers Hyderabad and the spinners are expected to come into action. CSK have been ticking the right boxes but their fast bowling still remains a concern.

Current form for SRH: L W W L L

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting could not deliver in the previous match against Mumbai Indians as they could not chase down 193 runs. Harry Brook had scored a magnificent century against KKR but was dismissed cheaply against MI. It will be crucial for SRH’s middle order to deliver for the team.

Head to Head: Matches: 19, Won by CSK: 14, Won by SRH: 5.

CSK clearly has their wood on SRH in the H2H battle.

Players to watch out for: Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Harry Brook, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, Washington Sundar, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the crucial players for SRH.

Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Matheesha Pathirana will be the key players for CSK.
