After 73 matches of the season, the two best teams – Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings – will take on each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad in the IPL 2023 final on Sunday. It has been a thrilling season and both of these teams will look to culminate their season on a high.
While Gujarat Titans will be eyeing to defend their title, CSK will look to grab their fifth IPL crown and draw level with Mumbai Indians for the most titles. MS Dhoni hasn’t yet confirmed his IPL future but if turns out to be his swansong performance in the tournament, CSK will look to give a fitting farewell to their Thala.
Chennai recently defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs in the first qualifier but the latter made a resounding comeback in the second qualifier to beat five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 62 runs.
Shubman Gill struck an unbelievable knock of 129 runs against MI and he is once again going to hold the key for the reigning champions. In fact, Ahmedabad has been a happy hunting ground for Gill and he will look to carry his dream form in the IPL final. Moreover, Mohit Sharma returned with a five-wicket haul against MI and GT will go into the final with a lot of confidence.
Similarly, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad are going to hold the key at the top of the order for CSK. The spinners are expected to come into the game and they are going to hold the key for CSK.
