The defending champions Gujarat Titans will face off against Lucknow Super Giants in the 51st match of the ongoing IPL 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday. GT is currently at the top of the points table with six wins in nine matches whereas Lucknow Super Giants have won five out of the 10 matches they have played.
Ergo, they will be looking to carry the good show in the remaining matches and it will be crucial for both of these teams to peak at this time.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans could not chase 130 runs in their previous match against Delhi Capitals and they will be looking to move on from that disappointing loss.
Hardik Pandya had taken the blame on his shoulders after he could only manage 59 runs off 53 balls and could not get the job done for his team despite staying unbeaten till the end.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a huge blow as KL Rahul has been ruled out after suffering an injury. Krunal Pandya will don the captaincy hat whereas Quinton de Kock could finally get a game in the final XI.
LSG batting hasn’t been at its best and they will be looking to turn the tables against defending champions.
Match Prediction: Gujarat Titans will enter the contest as favorites against Lucknow Super Giants.
