Lucknow Super Giants will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at their home venue of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Friday. LSG has won one out of the two matches they have played whereas SRH got off to a losing start in their campaign against Rajasthan Royals.
The KL Rahul-led team won their opening clash against Delhi Capitals but suffered a loss against Chennai Super Kings in their previous game. LSG bowlers will look to pull up their socks as they conceded a huge total of 217 runs in the last game against CSK.
However, LSG will face a sweet selection headache as Quinton de Kock has joined the team. Kyle Mayers, who opened the innings in the absence of the South African, has scored two blistering fifties in the opening games.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad was blown away by Rajasthan Royals in their opening clash of the season by a huge margin of 72 runs. The Orange Army has received a huge boost as their captain Aiden Markram has joined the team and he is expected to lead against LSG.
SRH will need to come up with better bowling as well as batting performance as they could not put up a fight against RR.
Match Prediction: Lucknow Super Giants will enter the contest as favorites against Sunrisers Hyderabad because of their team’s balance and home conditions.
