IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Dafanews Match Preview

Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 69th match of the ongoing IPL 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday. It will be a do-or-die contest for the Men in Blue whereas SRH are already out of the tournament but they would want to finish the season with a win.

When these two teams met earlier in the season, Mumbai Indians won by 14 runs and they will need to win by a better margin in order to improve their NRR. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

Current form for SRH: L L L W L

The Orange Army has won a solitary contest in their last five matches and it has been a horrid season for them. SRH have failed to come up with a collective show and it has led to their downfall this season. However, Heinrich Klaasen’s form has been a big positive for the franchise.

Current form for MI: L W W L W

Mumbai Indians would have been disappointed with their performance in the last match against Lucknow Super Giants. The five-time champions were in a strong position but their middle order could not capitalize in the run-chase and they will need to deliver in a must-win contest against SRH.

MI holds a slight advantage in the head-to-head battle against SRH.
