IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Game 69 – Match Prediction

Mumbai Indians will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 69th match of the ongoing IPL 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday. It will be a must-win match for Mumbai Indians as look to climb to 16 points and stand a chance to qualify for the playoffs.

SRH, on the other hand, was earlier knocked out of the playoffs race. MI had suffered a huge blow to their chances of making it to the last four after their narrow five-run against Lucknow Super Giants.

MI could not restrict LSG to under-par score as Marcus Stoinis played a blistering knock of 89 runs in Lucknow. In fact, the five-time champions were in a shoo-in position against LSG after a brilliant opening alliance by Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma but their middle order failed to deliver.

On the other side, SRH posted a par score of 186 runs against RCB after Heinrich Klaasen scored the second-fastest IPL century for the franchise. However, the South African’s hundred was overshadowed by a fantastic century from Virat Kohli.

MI has a Net Run Rate of -0.128 and they will need to win by a decent margin to leapfrog RCB’s NRR of +0.180. But MI will play their match before RCB and thus they wouldn’t have a clear picture of the scenario.

Match Prediction: Mumbai Indians will enter this contest as favorites against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
