IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Dafanews Match Preview

Royal Challengers Bangalore will square off against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 36th match of the season at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Wednesday. RCB has won four out of the seven they have played whereas KKR has managed only two wins in seven matches.

We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

RCB has won their last two matches and they must have grown in confidence. However, RCB is dependent on the troika of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli and the other batters need to contribute to the team’s score. Dinesh Karthik hasn’t also found his top form so far.

Current form for KKR: L L L L W

Kolkata Knight Riders have veered off the track as they have lost their last four matches. The batting unit hasn’t been able to come up with consistent performances. Moreover, they were not up to the mark with the ball in the previous match against CSK as they conceded 235 runs.

Head to Head: Matches: 32, Won by KKR: 18, Won by RCB: 14.

KKR holds an H2H advantage against RCB.

Players to watch out for: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammad Siraj, and Dinesh Karthik will hold the key for RCB.

Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Nitish Rana, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, David Wiese, and Venkatesh Iyer are going to hold the key for KKR.
