The young players were able to prove their mettle while rubbing shoulders with the best players in the world. 1. Yashasvi Jaiswal: The Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed with his pyrotechnics in the league stage of IPL 2023. The left-hander was able to hit the ground running on most occasions for RR and provided solid starts to the team along with Jos Buttler. The southpaw scored a majestic knock of 124 runs against Mumbai Indians, which was the highest score of the league stage.
Furthermore, he smashed a blistering knock of 98 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. The youngster scored 625 runs in 14 league-stage matches at an average of 48.08 and a strike rate of 163.61. However, his heroics with the bat went in vain as RR failed to qualify for the playoffs. The left-hander scored five fifties and one century in IPL 2023.
2. Rinku Singh: Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh was one of the biggest positives for the franchise in IPL 2023. Singh hogged the limelight after he smashed Yash Dayal for five sixes on the bounce to win the game for KKR.
The left-hander scored 474 runs in 14 matches at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53. The southpaw scored a total of four fifties in the tournament and added the finishing touches to KKR’s innings. But his efforts also went in vain as KKR could not seal their last four spot.
3. Tushar Deshpande: Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Tushar Deshpande also impressed while playing in IPL 2023. In fact, the fast bowler from Mumbai improved his performance as the tournament progressed.
The 28-year-old scalped 20 wickets in 14 league-stage matches at an average of 23.25 and played a key role in helping CSK qualify for the playoffs. Deshpande also improved his bowling in the death overs and got the crucial wickets for the MS Dhoni-led team.
