Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi in the 40th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Wednesday. Almost a week ago, these two teams played against each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad when the hosts were bundled out for a paltry score of 89.
T20 is a funny game but it would be safe to say that the score of 89 will be easily surpassed at a small ground in Delhi. When DC played their opening match of the season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad racked up 266 runs on the board.
Delhi’s bowling was doing a decent job till that game before they were taken to the cleaners by Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Shahbaz Ahmed.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar had bagged three wickets against Gujarat Titans whereas Ishant Sharma and Tristan Stubbs bagged a brace each to skittle the opposition for their lowest ever IPL score.
However, GT won their last match against Punjab Kings by three wickets and that win must have given them a lot of confidence.
On the other hand, DC suffered a 67-run loss against Orange Army as their bowling was taken apart by the potent batting unit.
Match Prediction: Delhi Capitals will enter the contest as favorites against Gujarat Titans.
