IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians – Match Prediction

Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Mumbai Indians in the 43rd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Saturday in a day game. The temperature in Delhi is forecasted to go as high as 38 degrees Celsius on Saturday and the players will need to battle the hot conditions.

Delhi won their previous match against Gujarat Titans in a thrilling contest by four runs. DC skipper Rishabh Pant batted at his previous best as he smashed 88 off just 43 balls. Before this knock, Pant had scored two fifties in the tournament but the left-hander looked at his absolute best on Wednesday.

The move to promote Axar Patel also paid dividends as the all-rounder scored a fine knock of 66 runs. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for DC, returning with impressive figures of 2-29 in his quota of four overs. However, the form of Anrich Nortje, who is leaking a lot of runs in the death overs, is a concern for the team.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have failed to achieve any kind of impetus in the ongoing season. The five-time champions were completely dominated by Rajasthan Royals as they lost by nine wickets in their last game. Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera scored impressive knocks but MI will want more from the likes of Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and captain Hardik Pandya.

Jasprit Bumrah has been sensational for MI but he has lacked support from the other end.

Match Prediction: Mumbai Indians will enter the contest as favorites against Delhi Capitals.
