Lucknow Super Giants will take on Chennai Super Kings in the 34th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday. Lucknow Super Giants have won three and lost as many out of their six games whereas the defending champions has won four of the six matches.
After winning three matches on the bounce, LSG have veered off the track, losing their last two matches. Ergo, the KL Rahul-led team will be determined to turn a corner and get back to winning ways.
LSG have managed less than 170 runs on the board in the last two matches and they will want to come up with a better batting show. Batters have got off to promising starts for LSG but they need to convert them to big scores.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings registered a convincing 20-run win against Mumbai Indians in the last game. Shivam Dube and Ruturaj Gaikwad continued their rich form whereas MS Dhoni was at his vintage best, smashing a 4-ball 20 cameo to help his team go past the 200-run mark.
Moreover, Matheesha Pathirana bowled a terrific spell, returning with 4-28 in his quota of four overs. Thus, CSK will look to continue the good show and deliver as a unit.
Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings will enter the contest as favorites against Lucknow Super Kings.
