Chennai Super Kings will lock horns against their southern rivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday. Both of these teams got off to a winning start in their campaign and would look to carry the same impetus.
While CSK registered a four-wicket win against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians, RCB claimed a seven-wicket win against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings.
Meanwhile, RCB have a horrid record while playing at the Chepauk Stadium as they secured a solitary win at the venue in nine matches. The conditions will certainly suit the spinners and thus Rajat Patidar, who has been superb against spin, will hold the key for the visitors.
On the other hand, Krunal Pandya, who bagged a three-for in the opening game against KKR, will need to do the heavy lifting for the visitors. The spin department remains a concern for RCB and it would be interesting how they perform at a venue, that is going to offer all the help to the spinners.
Noor Ahmad was brilliant for CSK as he returned with impressive figures of 4-18 against MI in the opener.
Head to Head: Matches: 32, Won by CSK: 21, Won by RCB: 11.
