IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants – Match Preview

Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Lucknow Super Giants in the 64th match of the ongoing IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Thursday. While GT had earlier secured their playoffs spot, LSG were knocked out of the tournament after suffering a loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last game.

Jos Buttler will miss the playoffs for GT and other batters would need to take onus as the middle order hasn’t had much game time. Titans assistant coach Matthew Wade is optimistic that other players will be able to grab their chances.

“It certainly doesn’t worry us, we know that those guys are in terrific form when they’ve got the opportunity and that they’ll do a great job for us,” said Wade during the pre-match press conference.

“It’d be nice if the top three keep scoring the majority of the runs. We’re going to lose Jos after a few more games, so there’s going to be another opportunity for someone to come in at three and take that role over.

On the other hand, LSG were ticking the right boxes in the first phase of the tournament but could not keep up the same impetus. They always had a bleak bowling line-up and it came to haunt them in the fag end of the league stage.

Head to head: GT 4-2 LSG.
