Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns against Chennai Super Kings in the 57th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Wednesday. The defending champions were able to keep themselves afloat in the tournament as they won their last game against Rajasthan Royals by one run.
Andre Russell had scored a blistering knock of 57 runs off just 25 balls and it was a huge positive for KKR that their all-rounder got back amongst the runs. Furthermore, Moeen Ali, Harshit Rana, and Varun Chakravarthy bagged two wickets each against the inaugural champions.
KKR have won their last two games and they must keep up the winning impetus to stay alive in IPL 2025.
CSK, on the other hand, was knocked out of the tournament and they are looking towards building their future by giving chances to young players.
It has been a disappointing season for CSK as they have failed to consistently deliver with both bat and ball. The players haven’t been able to grab their opportunities and they have looked insipid as a batting unit.
