The defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns against previous season’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata in the 15th match of the ongoing IPL 2025 on Thursday. KKR was not happy with their home curator, Sujan Mukherjee, who refused to give any home advantage to the team after Ajinkya Rahane’s request.
Thus, it would be interesting to note how the pitch would play on Thursday as KKR bowlers’ would be up against SRH’s potent batting line-up.
On the other hand, SRH batters have misfired after posting 286 runs in the opening game against RR. They could only manage 190 runs on a featherbed against LSG whereas they were bundled out for a below-par score of 163 runs against Delhi Capitals.
SRH batting unit has followed the template of going hard throughout the innings but it would be guile for them to assess the situation if they lose wickets in cluster.
KKR have also managed a solitary win in three games as they have failed to bring their best. Ajinkya Rahane’s team was bundled out for 116 runs in the last game against Mumbai Indians and they must pull up their socks.
